The Mt. Juliet Simplex Society has teamed up with the League to hold a repeater net every Sunday evening at 7:45pm. It will be hosted on the KM4GHM repeater. Skilled simplex operators can provide valuable information to Emergency Management agencies as well as each other in times of need. That is why the MJSS holds a net on 2 meter simplex twice a week. Honing simplex skills and constantly perfecting setups at home makes it much easier to lend a hand in case of an emergency. MJSS discovered that most hams do not have a UHF setup near sufficient for simplex with the shorter wavelength. We hope that a repeater net will encourage UHF activity to the point that a simplex net on the band would become possible. The League is always interested in teaming up with other groups for the greater good, and we are excited to provide this service to the simplex society.
